Ruminant ketosis is a complex, multi-factorial disease with a bewildering amount of treatment protocols. The simplest and best approach to ketosis is the prevention of its development as far as possible. However, with so many different feed ingredients and such a diversity of available nutrients, it is difficult to control this devastating disease.
